This appendix explains a few Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and answers.
In case there were problems with your installation, install complete page shows a warning and the logs location i.e. path to the installation directory
- In case the installation is canceled, the logs are generated in either desktop or installation path.
- If you cancel the installation before Choose Install Folder screen, the logs are generated in desktop.
- If you cancel the installation after Choose Install Folder screen, the logs are generated in the installation folder.
You may encounter this issue when you accidentally click on the launch button twice. An Improper Workspace
error is displayed as two instances try to access the same workspace.
To resolve the error, close the error window and any other related window that is open and re-launch Kony Quantum Visualizer.
Kony Quantum Visualizer perspective does not show up in the Open Perspective window if com.pat.soapui_x.x.x plug-in is not available in the plugins/dropins folder of Kony Quantum Visualizer. Ensure that the plug-in is available in the plugins/dropins folder of Kony Quantum Visualizer.
You will encounter this issue only if you are using an Android SDK version that is currently not supported by Kony Quantum Visualizer.
Note: You must install the latest version of Kony Quantum Visualizer in your system. This ensures that when support for the latest SDK version is added, it gets reflected in your system.

After installing Kony Visualizer you can refer to the Getting Started page to understand how to create an application.
Once you have created your application, you can refer to Building and Viewing an Application.
If you have created an iOS application and want to publish it to the App Store, you can refer to Build an iOS Application.
Certain prerequisites for building and publishing your iOS application to the App Store are:
- Configure Xcode on your Mac
- Connect your Mac with Visualizer
- Apple Enterprise Distribution Certificate (Release Mode only)
- Apple Enterprise Provisioning Profile (Release Mode only)
- Apple Application Manager (Launchpad app) Push Certificate (Release Mode only)
If you have created an Android application and want to publish it to the Google Play Store, you can refer to Build an Android Application.
This error is caused if insufficient memory is allocated to the Kony Visualizer instance. This can be solved by increasing the max heap size allocated to the IDE.
To assign additional memory, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Kony Visualizer installation folder.
- Right-click eclipse-orig.ini and open with Text Editor application.
- Add additional memory to the following line: -Xms128m.
- Save the file and launch Kony Visualizer.
Example: Add 1024 in place of 128.
The Emulators are visible only after they are created.
- The <Install Drive>:\<Kony install folder>\_Kony Visualizer Enterprise_installation\Logs directory contains the log files documenting each invocation of the installer or uninstaller. Provide these log files to Kony when reporting an issue to help expedite problem identification.
