New Features & Enhancements

In this release, the following features have been introduced or enhanced to provide a better Quantum Fabric experience.

  • Extensibility for Common Mapping in locked Object Services

    From V9 SP7 FP1, support to add and delete common mapping for extended fields (custom fields) has been added to Object Services. The common mappings for new custom fields can be viewed by refreshing the metadata of the service.

  • Object Services Upgradability

    From V9 SP7 FP1, upgrading an app with Object Services will retain the following extensions:

    • Object Field Extensions
    • Locked Verb Extensions
    • Custom Verbs
    • Mapping Set Extensions
  • Added support to refresh metadata of RDBMS connector

    From V9 ServicePack 7, the Relational Database connector for Integration and Object services supports refreshing the metadata, which is useful to get updates for field addition and deletion or changes to the database schema. This feature can be used to fetch new metadata of the mapped database tables and verbs, and update input and output parameters of a service operation, common mapping of an object service, and visual mapping of a verb.

  • Enhancements to mapping sets in Object Services

    From V9 ServicePack 7, the mapping sets feature contains the following enhancements:

    • Support to add new mapping sets for locked apps
    • Support to make a locked or unlocked mapping set active
    • Support to edit an unlocked mapping set
    • Support to import, export, and publish locked apps (with locked mapping sets)

  • Added Email Configuration APIs in Engagement Services

    From V9 ServicePack 7, Email Configuration APIs have been added to Engagement services, which can be used to set up and test an email provider such as Outlook or SendGrid.

Temenos App Factory

  • Added support to publish Micro Apps from Fabric jobs

    From V9 ServicePack 7, the PUBLISH_MICRO_APPS parameter has been added to the buildFabricApp job in App Factory, which can be used to publish the linked Micro Apps to a run-time environment.

  • Added support for Postgres

    From V9 SP7 FP1, the Fabric installer supports Postgres as the database server.
