Quantum - Support Lifecycle, Extensions, and EOL policy

The standard end-of-life (EOL) for each Temenos Quantum Platform release is 2 years from its applicable release date. The AMR (yearly) releases have 1 extra year of standard support, which means a total of 3 years of standard support and 2 additional years of Extended support which are to be paid yearly.
The Standard EOL End Date and Release Date for each Temenos Quantum Platform Release is set out in the table below.
This Article sets out the policy for extended support for each Temenos Quantum Platform beyond its applicable Standard EOL End Date for a multi-year extension (“Extended Support”).

Temenos has standardized its multi-year Extended Support for the Temenos Quantum Platform to be an increasing percentage amount each year beyond the Standard EOL End Date.
The Extended Support is only provided for the last Service Pack or minor version (as applicable) in the Major Release and on the Annual Maintenance release (AMR).

Scope of Extended Support:

Extended Support is only applicable to existing applications developed using the versions of Temenos Quantum Platform listed in the table below

The following is in scope within Extended Support:

  • Bug Fixes (SEV1): Bugs that are deemed to be critical and impact production functionality of applications.
  • Security Vulnerabilities: Bugs that are identified as critical security vulnerabilities for applications.
  • Temenos Quantum Platform updates to enable compatibility support for applications running on any new versions of Apple/Android OS updates.
    Support will include the required information on how to consume the updates and highlight changes that were made.
  • Access to the knowledge base and product documentation on Temenos Base Camp.
  • Access to the forums on Temenos Base Camp.
  • Access to the Support Portal.

The following are excluded from Extended Support:

  • New features: No new features will be added to the versions of the Temenos Quantum Platform under Extended Support.
  • Enhancement Requests: Enhancements to existing features will not be supported.
  • Bug Fixes (Non-SEV1): Bugs that do not impact production functionality of an application are out of scope of Extended Support.
  • Custom extensions, FFIs, and Custom Widget support is not covered.
  • Deprecated OS/Browser/server support. The Extended Support does not cover any OS/Browser/Server that has gone out of mainstream support by the original software vendor.
    (i.e., Windows 7 is no longer covered under Microsoft mainstream support).
  • Issues related to SAP logic or SAP integration modules are excluded for Kony4SAP Sky Connector.
  • Any other support or request not expressly covered by the scope of Extended Support.

Extended Support is only applicable to existing applications developed using the versions of Temenos Quantum Platform listed in the following table:

Following the standardization of the release process post the V9 SP7 release, extension for EOL is only provided on the Annual Maintenance Release (AMR).
Fixes for an application in production will be provided on the latest fix-pack of the Major Release being used by the Client.

NOTE: To request an extension of support on an EOL version of the product, Clients are advised to get in touch with their Temenos Account Manager or email QuantumExtendedSupport@temenos.com.
