Upgrading Kony MobileFabric Sync Manually

Kony MobileFabric Sync Framework is a comprehensive synchronization platform that enables developers to add synchronization capabilities to mobile applications. Assume that you have prior installation of Kony MobileFabric Sync. This topic talks about manually upgrading Kony MobileFabric Sync Framework without an installer. Follow the links to upgrade your server:

Upgrading Sync Plug-in

To upgrade the Kony MobileFabric Sync plug-in: 

1. Download the latest Sync plug-in and dependent plug-ins from the update site through Kony Studio.
   
   Update site for version:
   For 64-bit: http://download.kony.com/studio/55/site.xml
   For 32-bit: http://download.kony.com/studio/55/win32site.xml
   For Mac: http://download.kony.com/studio/55/macsite.xml
2. Generate code using the Sync Configuration file with new plug-in. For more information, see Developing Offline Applications in Kony MobileFabric Sync Developing Offline Apps guide.
3. Replace the generated model.js files (for each sync object).
4. Build the application.

Note: For version 7.0, upgrade of MobileFabric Sync plug-in is done through installer.
